About This Project

An ongoing festival celebrating indigenous and first nations peoples, the 2016 rebrand for Homeground involved a collaboration between the Sydney Opera House design team and celebrated indigenous street artist Reko Rennie. Bright colours, mixed with indigenous inspired patterns and iconography worked to bring the festival to a more contemporary audience whilst maintaining a strong connection to tradition. The rollout for festival included everything from a brand new microsite to onsite signage, print programs, newspaper and outdoor advertising.
